Technical Support specialist

We are looking to for a support specialist to work in-house as part of our service team. This busy role involves dealing the client issues/queries on a day-to-day basis via email, telephone, web, live-chat and remote access. You will also work with the development team to assist in testing & bug diagnosis.

Other duties may include support of in-house IT systems, internal CRM, Website/blogs, training and technical support of sales teams. Client projects may include working with ODBC queries, Report-writing, XML data transformations, and as part of a small company many other diverse adhoc projects.

Skills and experience to include:

  • Printing bias/background
  • Software/IT aptitude and self-interest
  • Experience using/setting up pre-press and/or MIS software
  • Understanding of database structures (tables, fields, relationships)
  • Good general IT knowledge e.g. Windows, Servers & configuration
  • Fast & keen learner

Salary package commensurate with experience/relevant skill-set and industry averages.

 

Development/test engineer

We are looking to expand our development team to add a full-time development & test engineer. This is an in-house technical specialist role involving assistance with product testing, installation software, documentation using both offline and online bug tracking & project management software.

Skills and experience to include:

  • In-depth knowledge of print MIS to setup level (Accura or other)
  • Understanding of database structures (tables, fields, relationships)
  • Printing bias/background
  • Good general IT knowledge e.g. Windows, Servers & configuration
  • Fast & keen learner

Also beneficial would be knowledge of:

  • SQL admin/scripting
  • Any programming language e.g. PHP, Ruby, Python, Visual Basic, C#, VBScript
  • HTML
  • ODBC queries
  • XML data tranformations

Design/marketing assistant

This is a full-time in-house role to assist in the creative process and marketing for our small company.

This role involves from concept to production of the company promotional material in all forms of media (whether electronic or printed), along with helping to the maintain social media and develop a marketing strategy.

This is a project-based role which demands creativity (thinking outside of the box) and you will be largely working unsupervised, referring to management only when developing the concept, then working to a strict deadline to deliver the end product liasing with production facilities such as printers to obtain quotes and place work as-needed.


Projects you will work on include:

  • Regular email marketing (HTML) in multiple countries
  • Printed collateral (brochures, mailers etc.)
  • Exhibition graphics as required
  • Screen video recording/posting
  • Animated videos for web content
  • Demo CD front-end design
  • Company internal documentation (improving presentation quality)
  • Social media (LinkedIn, Twitter) updating/feeds
  • Maintaining company website via CMS
  • Sending PR/Editorial
  • Custom case-studies

Experience and skills must include:

  • Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign etc. (to advanced level)
  • An existing creative design portfolio
  • Worked with printed and/or electronic media

Highly beneficial skills would add:

  • HTML/CSS3 knowledge in context of email marketing e.g. Dreamweaver
  • Front-end web design
  • Social networking and/or Google adwords/SEO

Would suit a post-graduate or current junior design-team member who wishes to use their CREATIVE skills. You will need a portfolio and be set a task.


Web Developer

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a lead web-developer to work on major browser and mobile technology projects (both front-end and backend) involving our next generation print MIS. You work closely within a small team and report to the company director.

You will have a minimum of 3 years programming experience in a range of skills including the majority of:

  • .NET and/or Ruby on Rails development
  • MVC
  • SQL
  • JQuery and/or similar UI enhancement tools
  • VBScript
  • HTML5
  • Bootstrap
  • CSS3

This is a full-time long-term in-house position (no teleworking) based out of our offices in Chandler's Ford, so easy commuting is essential.
